Our homeopathy range brings together remedies from Boiron and Hyland's: single remedies in multi-tube pellet packs, combination tablets, single-dose liquid vials, ointments, gels and children's syrups. Remedies are listed by their traditional names and potencies, and many packs carry imported labelling, so read each label for directions and age guidance before use.
Homeopathic products are named after their starting material, usually in Latin, followed by a potency:
Single remedies, such as Boiron Arnica Montana 30C, Hypericum perforatum, Bryonia, Rhus tox and Silicea, are usually sold as tubes of small pellets. Combination products carry brand names instead and list several ingredients on the pack.
In the UK, homeopathic remedies are regulated as medicines. We describe what is on each pack and make no claims about how well a remedy works. Use products only as the label directs, keep to the age ranges printed on children's packs, and never use a remedy in place of prescribed treatment. If symptoms persist or you are pregnant, see a pharmacist or GP. For children's products from other brands, browse Kids' Health.
It describes how the remedy was prepared: the starting material was diluted 1 in 100, thirty times in succession. X potencies use 1 in 10 steps instead, and CK refers to Boiron's Korsakovian method.
Follow the label on each pack. Pellets are usually placed under the tongue to dissolve rather than swallowed with water, and the label gives the number of pellets and how often to take them.
Some packs are labelled for children, such as Boiron Chestal Kids and the Camilia single doses, and each states a minimum age. Use only products labelled for your child's age, and ask a pharmacist before using any remedy for a baby.
Do not stop or replace any prescribed medicine with a homeopathic remedy. If you take regular medication or are pregnant, check with your pharmacist or GP before use.
They are the traditional names of the starting materials, usually in Latin. Arnica montana is mountain arnica, Hypericum perforatum is St John's wort and Calendula is the marigold.
