What is Boiron Calendula Ointment used for?

How do I apply it?

Calendula officinalis 1X at 4%, a mother tincture made from the flowering tops of the marigold, in a petroleum jelly base. Boiron makes Calendula Ointment without fragrances, dyes or parabens.
Can I use it on chapped lips and chafing?
Yes — chafed, chapped or cracked skin and lips are among the label's listed uses, as is protection from wind and cold. Keep it out of the eyes.
When should I see a doctor instead?
Ask a doctor before using it on deep or puncture wounds, animal bites or serious burns. Stop and see a doctor if the problem lasts more than 3 days or gets worse.
