Sugar-free or with carbohydrate?
Sugar-free mixes such as Keto Electrolyte, ZeroLyte and the sugar-free Power Paks suit everyday sipping and low-carb diets. Magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance, and potassium contributes to normal muscle function.
For long training sessions, carbohydrate-electrolyte solutions contribute to the maintenance of endurance performance during prolonged endurance exercise and enhance the absorption of water during exercise. That claim only applies to drinks that meet set levels of carbohydrate, sodium and concentration, so check the label of products such as Trec Endurance Energy Fuel. The sports team's Hydration & Endurance range covers gels and carb drinks.

Electrolytes & Hydration: your questions answered
What is the difference between Keto Electrolyte and Electrolyte Stamina Power Pak?
Keto Electrolyte is a sugar-free mix of sodium, potassium and magnesium. Power Paks combine electrolytes with 1200 mg vitamin C per stick, and most flavours contain cane sugar, though sugar-free versions are available.
How much water do I mix electrolytes with?
It depends on the product: Keto Electrolyte Powder uses one rounded 6.7 g scoop in about 470 ml of water, while Power Paks are mixed with 60 to 90 ml and then topped up to taste. Drops and concentrates are measured per the label.
Can I drink electrolytes every day?
Many labels allow daily use or use as needed. If you have been advised to limit salt or potassium, check the sodium and potassium figures with your GP first, and remember Power Pak vitamin C adds up across several sticks.
Are electrolyte drops better than powders?
Neither is better; it is a format choice. Drops are almost unflavoured, go into any drink and let you adjust the amount, while powders and sticks make a ready-flavoured drink.
Are your electrolyte products vegan?
Many are, including Power Pak Raspberry, which is labelled vegan. Check each product label, as flavourings and tablet coatings vary.
