Your questions, answered
What's in one scoop?
One rounded 6.7g scoop gives 1000mg potassium, 120mg magnesium, 75mg calcium, 15mg chloride, 10mg sodium and 100mg ConcenTrace trace minerals. That's 50% of the UK reference intake for potassium and 32% for magnesium.
How do I make it up?
Stir one rounded scoop into about 470ml (16oz) of water once a day, then keep drinking fluids. The Strawberry Lemonade flavour works well over ice.
Is it keto-friendly?
Yes — the Keto Electrolyte Powder tub is labelled zero sugar and no carbs, sweetened with stevia leaf extracts (steviol glycosides, Reb M and Reb A). Citric and malic acid give the lemonade tang and beetroot powder the pink colour.
Does it replace sodium?
No — each scoop has only 10mg sodium against 1000mg potassium, so this powder is potassium-led. It won't stand in for the salt in your diet.
What do the minerals do?
Potassium contributes to normal muscle function, normal functioning of the nervous system and the maintenance of normal blood pressure. Magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Who should check with a doctor first?
Trace Minerals asks you to consult a doctor before use if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, on medication or have a medical condition, especially kidney disease, high blood potassium (hyperkalaemia) or a low pulse rate. One scoop gives 1000mg potassium.
Strawberry Lemonade, other flavours or formats?
The same 1000mg potassium formula comes as Keto Electrolyte Powder in Lemon Lime and Orange; for travel there are Trace Minerals Keto Electrolyte 30 Stick Packs, Keto Electrolyte Tablets and Keto Electrolyte Drops. Check each label, as amounts differ between formats.
