Your questions, answered
What's in each ZeroLyte stick?
Each 7.6g stick has 1000mg sodium and 1500mg chloride from sea salt, 500mg potassium (citrate), 80mg magnesium (citrate), 100mg ConcenTrace trace minerals and 100mg coconut water powder. It's 5 calories with under 1g of carbohydrate and no sugar.
How salty is it?
Properly salty: 1000mg sodium is 2.5g of salt, about 40% of the 6g daily maximum UK guidance sets for adults. Mixing it into the full 950ml (32oz) of water rather than 475ml (16oz) makes it noticeably milder.
When should I drink it?
Before, during or after exercise, or whenever you need fluids, per the label. ZeroLyte makes most sense for long or hot sessions where you sweat heavily, since that's when you lose the most sodium.
What do the minerals do?
The 500mg of potassium contributes to normal muscle function, and the 80mg of magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Sodium has no authorised claim on its own.
Which flavours can I choose?
We list Orange (Salty Orange), Citrus, Watermelon, Mango and Berry Lemonade. All are sweetened with stevia leaf extract (Reb A) rather than sugar.
ZeroLyte or a Power Pak?
ZeroLyte is the high-sodium, vitamin-free option for heavy sweaters. A Power Pak, such as our Cranberry box, is a daily vitamin drink with 1200mg vitamin C but only 75mg sodium.
Is ZeroLyte suitable if I'm watching my salt intake?
Check with your GP first if you've been told to cut down on salt or potassium, for example for blood pressure or kidney reasons, because one stick of ZeroLyte gives 2.5g salt and 500mg potassium.
Individual results may vary.
