Your questions, answered
What's in a Cranberry Power Pak stick?
Each 6.1g stick has 1200mg vitamin C, 25mcg vitamin D3, 10mg vitamin B6, 25mcg B12, 255mcg DFE folate as methylfolate, 100mg magnesium, 200mg potassium, 75mg sodium, 60mg calcium, 5mg zinc, 35mcg selenium and 100mg ConcenTrace trace minerals. It comes to 5 calories and 1g of sugar.
Is there real cranberry in it?
No cranberry fruit or extract is listed. The taste comes from a natural flavours blend and the colour from Exberry Cherry Red, a fruit- and vegetable-based colouring, so treat it as a vitamin and electrolyte drink rather than a cranberry supplement.
How do I mix it?
Tip one stick into 60–90ml (2–3oz) of water, stir until it dissolves, then top up to taste. One stick a day means the box of 30 lasts a month.
Can I have a second stick on a hot or long training day?
We'd stay at one: a single Cranberry stick already carries 10mg vitamin B6, the most the FSA suggests taking daily from supplements, and 25mcg vitamin D. For extra fluids, an electrolyte-only mix such as Trace Minerals ZeroLyte is a better fit.
What do the vitamins and minerals do?
Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. The 100mg of magnesium in each Power Pak contributes to electrolyte balance.
Why has the powder gone lumpy?
Some caking is normal and, per the label, doesn't affect quality. Squeeze the stick before tearing it, and keep the box somewhere cool and dry.
Is it vegan, and what is it sweetened with?
It's marked vegan with no known allergens. The sweetness comes from organic cane sugar (1g added sugar per stick) plus stevia-derived Reb A and Reb M.
