How much caffeine is in Power Pak Energy?
80mg per packet, from natural caffeine within a 170mg energy blend that also contains L-theanine, Panax ginseng and Rhodiola rosea extract.
How many packets can I have a day?
One. The box says to take one packet daily, mixed into 240–350ml (8–12oz) of water, and each packet already has 10mg of vitamin B6, the most the NHS suggests taking from supplements in a day.
What else is in each packet?
1,200mg vitamin C, 25mcg vitamin D3, 25mcg vitamin B12, folate, smaller amounts of B1, B2, niacin and pantothenic acid, 100mg magnesium, 5mg zinc, 35mcg selenium, 200mg potassium, 75mg sodium and 100mg ConcenTrace trace minerals.
What do the nutrients do?
Vitamin C and zinc contribute to the normal function of the immune system, and vitamins C, B6 and B12 contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. The 100mg of magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance; the ginseng and rhodiola have no authorised claims.
Who shouldn't use it?
Because of the caffeine, the label says Power Pak Energy isn't recommended for children, pregnant women or anyone sensitive to caffeine. It also says not to have other caffeine the same day, as too much can cause nervousness, irritability and sleeplessness.
Is it sugar-free and keto-friendly?
Yes: 5 calories and 1g carbohydrate per packet, sweetened with xylitol and stevia (Reb A and Reb M), and marked keto, sugar-free and gluten-free with no known allergens. Xylitol is poisonous to dogs, so keep packets and made-up drinks away from pets.
