What does the label say Nux vomica 30C is for?
Boiron's US label, which calls it Hangover Relief, says it temporarily relieves upset stomach with nausea or fullness from overindulgence in food or drink, occasional heartburn, acid indigestion or sour stomach, and irritability from sensitivity to light, noise, smells or touch. Boiron notes these claims are based on traditional homeopathic practice, not accepted medical evidence.
How do I take it?
At the onset of symptoms, dissolve 5 pellets under the tongue 3 times a day until symptoms are relieved, or as a doctor directs. Twist the tube cap to release the pellets without handling them.
Who can take Nux Vomica 30C?
Only adults aged 21 and over; the label says it isn't recommended under 21. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a health professional before use.
When should I stop?
Stop and ask a doctor if a hangover lasts more than 2 days. Keep the tubes out of reach of children.
How long does a pack last?
Three tubes of Nux Vomica 30C, each about 80 pellets, give roughly 48 doses of 5 pellets, so each tube lasts about 5 days at 3 doses a day. Many people keep one tube at home, one in a bag and one for travel.
Is it suitable if I avoid lactose?
Check first: the pellets are made of lactose and sucrose, the only inactive ingredients listed. Boiron states there are no artificial colours, flavours, sweeteners or preservatives.
