What's in the Jet Lag Relief pack?
Three tubes, each holding about 80 pellets of a different Boiron medicine: Arnica montana 6C, Cocculus indicus 6C and Nux vomica 30C. You take all three together as a set.
What does the label say it's for?
Boiron's US label says Jet Lag Relief temporarily relieves symptoms such as nausea, stiffness, muscle pain and drowsiness: Arnica for muscle pain and stiffness, Cocculus for nausea, and Nux vomica for drowsiness and travel-related digestive problems. Boiron notes these claims are based on traditional homeopathic practice, not accepted medical evidence.
When do I take the pellets?
Dissolve 5 pellets of each medicine under the tongue the day before you travel, again just before travel, and then at the onset of symptoms, repeating 3 times a day until they're relieved. Keep the carton, as Boiron asks you to save the directions.
Can children use it?
Yes, from age 2 the directions are the same as for adults; for children under 2, ask a doctor. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a health professional before use.
How long will one pack last?
Each tube gives about 16 doses of 5 pellets. After the two pre-travel doses, that leaves enough for roughly 4 to 5 days at 3 doses a day.
When should I stop?
Stop and ask a doctor if symptoms last more than 3 days or get worse, if new symptoms appear, or if there's redness or swelling. The pellets are made of lactose and sucrose, so ask a pharmacist first if you're lactose intolerant.
Is the Nux vomica tube the same as Boiron Nux Vomica 30C?
It's the same remedy and potency, but Jet Lag Relief pairs it with Arnica and Cocculus and gives travel directions from age 2. Boiron Nux Vomica 30C 3 x 80 Pellets is sold separately with its own label for overindulgence, for adults 21 and over.
