Our Zinc range has ten products in three formats: capsules from Trec Nutrition and Essensey, including a magnesium, zinc and B6 blend; Trace Minerals Ionic Zinc drops, plain or with vitamin C or elderberry; and Trace Minerals Cal/Mag/Zinc liquids in orange cream, piña colada and strawberry.
Zinc carries a broad set of authorised claims. It contributes to the normal function of the immune system, to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, to the maintenance of normal skin, hair, nails and vision, to normal fertility and reproduction, and to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood.
The NHS says men need 9.5mg and women 7mg of zinc a day, and advises not taking more than 25mg a day from supplements unless a doctor advises it, because high doses reduce copper absorption. Trace Minerals Ionic Zinc is labelled 50mg, so check the serving on the label and use a smaller amount to stay within that guidance unless your GP advises otherwise. Remember to count zinc from any multivitamin too.

The NHS says men need 9.5mg and women 7mg a day, and advises not taking more than 25mg a day from supplements unless a doctor recommends it. Check how much is in each serving before you choose.
Zinc on an empty stomach can cause nausea in some people. Take it with food, and if the problem continues, reduce to a smaller serving.
At normal doses there is no need. Long-term high doses of zinc reduce copper absorption, which is why it is worth staying within the NHS guidance.
All three are 59ml liquid zinc. One is plain, one adds vitamin C and one adds elderberry, so choose by what else you want in the bottle.
The formula is the same, so pick by taste: orange cream, piña colada or strawberry. Piña colada also comes in a smaller 473ml bottle.
