HMB FORMULA CAPS contains beta-hydroxy beta-methylbutyric acid in the form of a calcium salt. This short-chain fatty acid is formed from an amino acid (L-Leucine) after any intense exercise or as a result of prolonged stress.
HOW IS HMB FORMED?
HMB is a compound resulting from the transformation of one of the branched-chain amino acids - leucine. In most studies, HMB is found to have a positive effect in inhibiting catabolism, stimulating the growth of lean body mass, improving strength and endurance. The anti-catabolic effect of Trec's HMB stems from the simple principle that an effective way to inhibit catabolism is to saturate muscles with amino acids and their metabolites.
WHY IS IT WORTH SUPPORTING THE BODY TO PRODUCE MORE HMB?
HMB is formed from the amino acid leucine, but the pathway for synthesizing HMB from leucine is not readily activated by the body.
