Your questions, answered
How much does it hold?
700ml, with measurement markings on the side so you can pour water or milk straight into the Boogieman shaker. A typical 300ml protein shake leaves plenty of room for the powder to move, which is what breaks up lumps.
Will it leak in my gym bag?
Not if it's closed properly: the lid screws on and the drinking spout has its own cap. Check the lid is screwed on straight before you shake or pack it.
Can I use it for hot drinks?
No. Trec's Boogieman shakers are listed as unsuitable for hot liquids, because heat builds pressure that can push the lid off when you shake. Stick to cold or room-temperature drinks.
Is the plastic BPA-free?
Yes, the shaker is made from BPA-free, food-safe plastic. That makes it fine for protein, pre-workout, BCAAs and electrolyte drinks.
How do I stop it smelling of old protein?
Rinse it as soon as you've finished, then wash the cup and lid in warm soapy water and leave them apart to dry. Leaving milk-based shakes sealed in the bottle is what causes the smell.
Which Trec shaker should I pick?
They're all 700ml. Besides this Boogieman shaker we stock Boogieman versions in black and red, plain Trec shakers in black, blue, red and yellow, and the orange Endurance shaker, so pick the one that suits your gym bag.
