What's in Trec Biotin Beauty?
Each capsule combines biotin, copper, AnaGain Nu (an extract of green pea sprouts) and the amino acid L-methionine. The exact amounts are printed in the nutrition panel on the tub.
What do biotin and copper do?
Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and normal skin, and copper contributes to normal hair pigmentation and normal skin pigmentation. AnaGain Nu and L-methionine have no authorised health claims, so we simply list them as ingredients.
How do I take it, and how long does a tub last?
One capsule a day with water, ideally with a meal, so the 90 capsules of Biotin Beauty last three months. Don't take more than one a day.
Is Biotin Beauty vegetarian?
No — the capsule shell is made from gelatine. If you want plant-based capsules, OstroVit Biotin VEGE 90 capsules, which we also stock, are the vegetarian option.
Can biotin affect blood tests?
Yes — biotin supplements can interfere with some laboratory tests, including certain thyroid and heart (troponin) tests. Tell your doctor or the lab that you take Biotin Beauty before any blood test.
Can I take it if I'm pregnant or on medication?
Check with a healthcare professional first: the label asks anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or living with a medical condition to get advice before use.
Do I need it on top of a women's multivitamin?
