How much KSM-66 is in each capsule?
Each 500mg capsule is 40% KSM-66 ashwagandha root extract standardised to 5% withanolides, which works out at about 200mg of extract and 10mg of withanolides. The rest is maltodextrin and an anti-caking agent.
How do I take it, and how long does a tub last?
One capsule a day with about 250ml of water, preferably during a meal. The 60 capsules of Trec Ashwagandha KSM-66 last two months.
What does ashwagandha do?
Ashwagandha has no authorised health claims in the UK, so we give you the dose rather than promise stress or sleep effects. It's a traditional Ayurvedic root, and KSM-66 is a branded extract made from the root only.
Who shouldn't take it?
The label says children and pregnant or breastfeeding women must not take it, and it shouldn't be used with sedatives, sleeping tablets or anti-epileptic medicines. If you have a thyroid or liver condition or take other regular medication, ask your GP first.
Is it vegan?
No animal ingredients are listed, and the capsule shell is plant-based hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. The label does say it may contain milk, soy, cereals containing gluten, fish and peanuts, so check that warning if you have allergies.
KSM-66, Ultra or Max?
Trec Ashwagandha KSM-66 gives about 200mg of KSM-66 a day. Trec Ashwagandha Ultra packs 800mg of KSM-66 into one tablet, while Trec Ashwagandha Max uses a different 335mg extract at 9% withanolides.
How should I store it?
Keep the tub tightly closed in a dry place at 15–25°C, away from light and out of reach of young children, and finish it within 3 months of opening.
