How do I take it?
Two capsules a day: the red 100% Vitamins capsule with breakfast and the black 100% Minerals capsule with your evening meal. The box of 60 is a 30-day supply.
What's in the red and black capsules?
The red capsule has 12 vitamins, including 80mg vitamin C, 5µg vitamin D, 200µg folic acid and 2.5µg B12. The black one has 9 minerals, including 375mg magnesium, 14mg iron, 10mg zinc, 150µg iodine and 55µg selenium.
Why are vitamins and minerals in separate capsules?
Trec designs 100% Vitamins & Minerals as an 'Advanced 24H Formula', so the nutrients are split between two meals rather than taken in one go. Each capsule weighs 1,180mg, so you swallow one at each meal rather than two at once.
What do the nutrients contribute to?
Among others, vitamin C and zinc contribute to normal immune function, and vitamin B6, B12 and magnesium to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Nearly every nutrient is at 100% of the reference intake (manganese is 90%), so it covers the basics without megadoses.
Is it suitable for vegetarians?
No — both capsule shells are gelatine. The red vitamin capsule is coloured with iron oxides, titanium dioxide and azorubine.
Can I take it with my other supplements?
Watch for doubling up: the black capsule already gives 375mg magnesium and 14mg iron, so a separate magnesium or iron product takes you well past the reference intake. Vitamin D is only 5µg, while the NHS suggests 10µg a day in autumn and winter.
