How many capsules do I take a day?
Four: two capsules with 300ml of water, twice a day, preferably with meals. That gives 261.2mg of magnesium (70% of the reference intake), and the 120-capsule tub lasts 30 days.
Which three forms of magnesium are in it?
Magnesium citrate, magnesium carbonate and magnesium lactate, according to the pack label on our listing. Spreading the day's four capsules over two meals keeps each dose smaller.
What does the magnesium do?
Magnesium contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal protein synthesis and the maintenance of normal bones — the four claims Trec prints on the Triple Magnesium Complex label.
Is the capsule vegetarian?
The label lists a hydroxypropyl methylcellulose capsule, which is plant-based. It also says the product may contain milk, soy, gluten, fish, molluscs and peanuts, so take care if you have a severe allergy.
Who shouldn't take it?
Trec says it isn't for children or pregnant or breastfeeding women, or anyone allergic to an ingredient. Once opened, use the tub within three months and keep it at 15–25°C.
Triple Magnesium Complex or Magnesium Bisglycinate?
Both give about the same magnesium a day: 261mg from four Triple Magnesium capsules, or 263mg from three Trec Magnesium Bisglycinate capsules, which add 1.4mg vitamin B6. Triple is the lower-cost tub; Bisglycinate is a single chelated form.
