What is in two capsules?
The 2-capsule daily portion gives 1,000mg L-carnitine tartrate (680mg L-carnitine), 1.4mg vitamin B6 and 40mcg chromium as chromium picolinate, with the B6 and chromium each at 100% of the reference intake.
What makes it a "Complex"?
The vitamin B6 and chromium added to the L-carnitine. It uses a single form of carnitine, L-carnitine tartrate, rather than a blend of carnitine types.
What do the vitamin B6 and chromium do?
Vitamin B6 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and chromium contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism. L-carnitine itself has no authorised health claim, so we don't promise fat loss.
How long does a tub last, and when should I take it?
Two capsules a day, so the 90-capsule tub lasts 45 days. There is no caffeine or other stimulant, so you can take L-Carnitine Complex at whatever time suits your routine.
Is it suitable for vegetarians?
No — the capsule shell is gelatine, coloured with titanium dioxide. The capsules also contain maltodextrin as a filler.
Complex or L-Carnitine 3000?
Trec Nutrition L-carnitine 3000 gives 2,000mg L-carnitine in 3 capsules with nothing else added; L-Carnitine Complex is a lower 680mg dose with B6 and chromium in 2 capsules. We also stock Trec L-carnitine + Green Tea, which adds green tea extract.
