What's in a serving?
Two capsules give 1000mg of 20:1 shilajit extract, standardised to 200mg of fulvic acid, plus 25mg of Trace Minerals' ConcenTrace trace mineral concentrate. Shilajit has no authorised health claims in the UK, so we describe the dose rather than promise effects.
Is the 1000mg per capsule?
No — 1000mg is per two-capsule serving, so each capsule holds 500mg of extract. Worth knowing when you compare with brands that quote their dose per capsule.
How many a day, and how long does the tub last?
Two capsules a day with water, as the label directs. The 150 capsules of Trace Minerals Shilajit give 75 servings, which is about two and a half months.
What does "20:1, standardised to fulvic acid" mean?
The extract is concentrated from about 20 parts raw shilajit to 1 part extract, then standardised so every serving carries the same 200mg of fulvic acid. That consistency is the main advantage over loose resin, which varies jar to jar.
Capsules or shilajit resin?
Trace Minerals Shilajit capsules are measured, tasteless and easy to carry. Ultra Lyte Shilajit 50g resin, which we also stock, is the traditional sticky resin you dissolve in a warm drink, for people who like adjusting the amount and don't mind the earthy taste.
Is it vegan and free from common allergens?
Yes — the capsule is hypromellose and the other ingredients are magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and silicon dioxide, with no known allergens listed. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding or take medication, check with your GP before starting any shilajit product.
