Each capsule gives 60,000 SPU (serrapeptase units), so the 2-capsule serving on the label is 120,000 SPU. SPU measures enzyme activity rather than weight.
How do I take it?
1 to 2 capsules twice a day as needed, on an empty stomach with at least 240ml (8oz) of water. Swallow them whole so the delayed-release capsule works as designed.
How long does a bottle last?
Between 15 and 30 days: 60 capsules at 2 to 4 a day, depending on where you settle within the label range.
What does serrapeptase do?
Serrapeptase is a protein-digesting enzyme first isolated from bacteria found in silkworms. It has no authorised health claims in the UK, so we describe Source Naturals Serrapeptase rather than promise results.
Is it vegan?
No — the capsule is vegetarian, but the label says the product contains milk and soy. It isn't suitable if you're allergic to either.
Who should avoid serrapeptase?
