Each ESSENSEY Chromium capsule gives 200µg of chromium as chromium picolinate, which is 500% of the UK reference intake. One capsule is the daily portion.
Is ESSENSEY Chromium a liquid?
No — it's a capsule you swallow, not an ionic liquid. If you'd rather add drops to a drink, we stock Trace Minerals Liquid Ionic Chromium and Ultra Lyte Ionic Chromium.
What does chromium contribute to?
Chromium contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism and to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels. It works alongside a balanced diet rather than replacing one.
When should I take it?
One capsule a day with water, during a meal or straight after it. At that rate the 120-capsule tub of ESSENSEY Chromium lasts four months.
Is it vegetarian?
Yes — the capsule shell is HPMC (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) and the label carries a 'good for vegetarians' mark. It may contain traces of milk, soya, gluten, egg, fish, peanuts and nuts.
Who shouldn't take it?
The label says it isn't for children or pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you take medication for blood sugar, check with your GP or pharmacist before adding chromium.
