Does PanOxyl AM have SPF?
Yes — it's a broad-spectrum SPF 30 mineral sunscreen as well as a moisturiser, with zinc oxide as the active (17% on the current US label). Its labelled use is to help prevent sunburn.
How do I apply it?
Shake well, apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure and reapply at least every 2 hours. Use a water-resistant sunscreen if you'll be swimming or sweating.
Will it clog pores or make oily skin shinier?
PanOxyl says it won't clog pores and that it absorbs excess oil. It's free from fragrance, parabens and chemical sunscreen filters, with hyaluronic acid, glycerin and vitamin E for moisture.
Why pair it with a benzoyl peroxide wash?
Because benzoyl peroxide labels, including PanOxyl's own washes, tell you to avoid unnecessary sun exposure and use a sunscreen. PanOxyl AM puts moisturiser and SPF 30 into one morning step after you cleanse.
Can it mark my clothes?
It can: the label warns that it may stain some fabrics. Let it absorb before you put on collars or scarves, and keep it out of your eyes.
