How much vitamin C is in the drops?
The label gives three serving sizes: 4 drops = 20 mg (25% RI), 8 drops = 40 mg (50% RI) and 12 drops = 60 mg (75% RI). Use the size the box gives for your child's age.
How long does a bottle last?
One 30 ml bottle gives 200 servings at 4 drops, 100 at 8 drops or about 66 at 12 drops.
How do I give it to my child?
Drip the serving onto a spoon or into a little water or juice. Don't go above the serving for your child's age, and ask your GP, pharmacist or health visitor if you're unsure which one applies.
What does vitamin C do?
Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system, which is the claim printed on the OstroVit Pharma bottle. It also contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of teeth and gums.
Is there any sugar or flavouring in it?
The ingredients are just glycerol, purified water and L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C), so no sugar, sweeteners, flavourings or colours are listed. Glycerol gives the liquid a mildly sweet taste.
Can I give it with other children's vitamins?
Check the other labels first so vitamin C isn't doubled up. OstroVit Pharma Methyl B-Complex KIDS drops, which we also stock, is a separate B-vitamin formula, so the two don't overlap on vitamin C.
