How much is a serving?
Ten drops, measured onto a teaspoon or stirred into a drink; shake the bottle first. The 30ml bottle holds 66 servings, so at one a day it lasts just over two months.
What does each serving contain?
100% of the reference intake for eight B vitamins: 1.1mg thiamine, 1.4mg riboflavin, 16mg niacin, 6mg pantothenic acid, 1.4mg B6, 50µg biotin, 200µg folate and 2.5µg B12.
Which forms of the vitamins does it use?
Folate is calcium L-methylfolate, B12 is methylcobalamin and B6 is pyridoxal 5'-phosphate, which is where the 'Methyl' in OstroVit Pharma Methyl B-Complex comes from. Niacin is inositol hexanicotinate and pantothenic acid is calcium D-pantothenate.
What do B vitamins contribute to?
Riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, B6, folate and B12 contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, B6, B12 and biotin contribute to normal functioning of the nervous system.
Can children use it?
No — the directions say this product is for adults only. OstroVit makes a separate Methyl B-Complex KIDS drops, which we also stock, with its own child serving.
Does it contain allergens?
None are in the recipe, which is glycerol, water and the vitamins. It's made where milk, soy, peanuts, nuts, sesame, gluten, eggs, crustaceans and fish are handled, so traces may be present.
Why is my urine bright yellow?
That's the riboflavin (vitamin B2), which is naturally yellow; whatever your body doesn't use leaves in urine. It's harmless and common with B-complex products.
