What is in OstroVit MCT Oil?
Just MCT oil from oil palm seeds (palm kernel). Each 12g serving gives 6.6–7.8g caprylic acid (C8) and 4.2–5.4g capric acid (C10): 82kcal of pure fat with 0g carbohydrate, sugar and protein.
How much should I take?
The label's adult serving is 12g (about 2 tablespoons) twice a day with meals, and you can step up by 12g every 3 days until you find what suits you. Never take more than 100g in one go, as that can upset your stomach.
Is it keto-friendly?
Yes — OstroVit MCT Oil is 100% fat with no carbohydrate. That's the difference from OstroVit MCT Oil Powder 200g, which we also stock and which has 6.69g carbohydrate per serving from its starch carrier.
Is it coconut MCT oil?
No — OstroVit's label lists the MCTs as coming from oil palm seeds, not coconut. The C8 and C10 fats are the same medium-chain types sold as coconut MCT oil elsewhere.
Can I cook with it?
Not for frying; MCT oil has a low smoke point. Blend it into coffee or shakes, add it to dressings or drizzle it over food that's already cooked.
How long does the 500ml bottle last?

Who is it for?
