How much nettle is in a serving?
A 2ml serving (about 87 drops) gives 400mg Urtica dioica leaf extract, made from 2,000mg of nettle leaves. The 1 fl oz bottle holds 15 of these servings.
How do I take the drops?
Shake the bottle, then take 1-2ml (43-87 drops) in a small amount of water, up to three times a day.
How long will the bottle last?
About 30 days at 1ml once a day, or five days at the top dose of 2ml three times a day.
What does alcohol-free mean here?
Instead of an alcohol tincture, Nature's Answer extracts the nettle into vegetable glycerin and purified water using its cold extraction process, with no preservatives. The glycerin gives the drops a slightly sweet taste, at 5 calories per 2ml.
Can I take it while pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. The label says not to use it if you are pregnant or nursing. Keep it out of children's reach, and don't use it if the safety seal is damaged or missing.
What is nettle extract used for?
Nettle has no authorised health claims in the UK, so we describe the extract rather than promise effects. The US bottle mentions prostate health, but that wording is not an authorised claim here.
Is it gluten-free?
Yes. The bottle is labelled gluten-free, alcohol-free and Non-GMO Project Verified, and the only ingredients are nettle leaf extract, vegetable glycerin and water.
