What's in EstroSense?
Two capsules provide 150 mg calcium-D-glucarate, 150 mg indole-3-carbinol, 100 mg decaffeinated green tea extract, 50 mg turmeric extract, 50 mg milk thistle extract, 50 mg DIM, 25 mg rosemary extract, 1.5 mg lycopene and 200 mcg sulforaphane from broccoli sprout. Every ingredient has its amount listed, with no proprietary blend.
What does EstroSense do?
None of its ingredients has an authorised health claim in the UK, so we can't say it balances hormones or helps with PMS or the menopause. It's a formula of compounds from cruciferous vegetables plus plant extracts, which some women choose as part of their own routine.
How do I take it, and how long does a bottle last?
Two capsules with food once or twice a day, or as a health professional advises. The 60-capsule bottle lasts 30 days at two a day, or 15 days at four.
Is the green tea extract caffeinated?
No. EstroSense uses Sunphenon decaffeinated green tea extract, 100 mg per serving, standardised to 80% polyphenols.
Can I take it with the pill, HRT or other medication?
Check with your GP or pharmacist first. The label asks you to consult a health care professional before use if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, taking any medication or have a medical condition.
Is it vegan and gluten-free?
Yes. Natural Factors labels EstroSense as suitable for vegetarians and vegans and gluten-free, in a cellulose vegetarian capsule, with no dairy, soy, wheat, yeast, egg, fish, shellfish or tree nuts.
EstroSense or a DIM supplement on its own?
EstroSense has 50 mg of DIM alongside eight other ingredients. If DIM is the only thing you want, Nature's Way DIM-plus 120 Veggie Caps gives 100 mg of BR-DIM complex per two capsules.
