What's in a 3-tablet serving?
1,300mg vitamin C, 1,500mcg vitamin A (900mcg as beta-carotene, 600mcg as palmitate), 20mcg vitamin D3, 23mg zinc, 60mcg selenium and 150mcg copper. It also has over 20 herbs and extracts, led by garlic (360mg), propolis (295mg), echinacea (270mg) and elderberry (240mg).
What do the vitamins and minerals do?
Vitamins A, C and D, zinc, selenium and copper all contribute to the normal function of the immune system, and vitamin C also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. The herbs in Wellness Formula have no authorised claims.
How many tablets a day, and how long does each size last?
The everyday serving is 3 tablets a day, so the 45-tablet bottle lasts 15 days, the 90 lasts 30 days and the 180 lasts 60 days.
What about the higher short-term dose on the label?
The US label also allows 3 tablets every 3 hours, up to 15 tablets a day for no more than 7 days. That would take zinc and vitamin A far above UK safe upper levels, so speak to a pharmacist before taking more than 3 tablets a day.
Can I take Wellness Formula while pregnant?
No — the label says not to use it if you are pregnant, may become pregnant or are breastfeeding. It also contains soy, and should be kept out of children's reach.
