How much CLA is in a serving?
Two capsules give 1,197mg of calcium salt of conjugated linoleic acid, standardised to 80% CLA, which is 958mg of CLA. The 90 capsules last 45 days.
Why is it a powder capsule and not an oil softgel?
Essensey uses CLA bound to calcium as a dry powder, which fits into a plant-based HPMC capsule instead of a gelatine softgel. The 80% figure tells you how much of that powder is CLA itself.
How do I take Essensey CLA?
Two capsules a day with water, preferably during or straight after a meal. Don't go over two capsules a day.
Will CLA help me lose weight?
CLA has no authorised health claims in the UK, so we can't say it burns fat or changes body composition. Essensey CLA simply gives you a measured 958mg a day of a fatty acid found naturally in small amounts in dairy and beef.
Does it contain caffeine?
No, Essensey CLA is stimulant-free, so the time of day doesn't matter. If you also want caffeine, Essensey Caffeine 200mg is a separate product, and it's easier to judge each one on its own.
Who shouldn't take CLA?
The label says children and pregnant or breastfeeding women must not take it. If you have diabetes or take regular medication, check with your GP before starting.
