How much caffeine is in Blood & Guts?
350mg of caffeine anhydrous per 19g serving, plus about 22mg more from the green tea and guarana extracts, so roughly 372mg in total. That one serving is close to the 400mg a day EFSA considers safe for healthy adults, so skip coffee and energy drinks on the days you use it.
What else is in a serving?
Two heaped scoops (19g) of Blood & Guts give 6,004mg L-citrulline DL-malate 2:1, 5,500mg beta-alanine, 4,009mg arginine alpha-ketoglutarate complex, 500mg L-tyrosine and a little black pepper extract. None of these has an authorised UK health claim, so we list the doses rather than promise pumps.
How should I take it?
Mix 2 heaped scoops (19g) with 250–350ml of cold water and drink it about 30 minutes before training, no more than one serving a day. If you're new to it, start with a single scoop to see how you handle the caffeine.
Why do my face and hands tingle after drinking it?
That prickling feeling comes from the 5.5g of beta-alanine; it's a well-known effect of that ingredient and usually fades within an hour. Starting on one scoop makes it milder.
Who shouldn't use Blood & Guts?
It's for healthy adults only: not for under-18s, or if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Retailer copies of the label also say to speak to a doctor first if you have a heart, blood pressure, thyroid, liver or kidney condition, and with this much caffeine it's best kept well away from bedtime.
How long does the 380g tub last?
20 servings of 19g, so about four weeks if you use it on five training days a week. Our page lists seven flavours (Mojito, Pear-Kiwi, BubbleGum, Cola, Strawberry, Watermelon and Mango); stock varies by flavour.
Can I stack it with creatine?
