Each strawberry gummy gives 125 mcg (5,000 IU) of vitamin D3 as cholecalciferol, plus vitamin K2 as MK-7 (menaquinone-7). The serving is one gummy, so the jar of 60 lasts two months.
Is 5,000 IU a lot?
Yes — it's a high strength. The NHS advises adults not to take more than 100 mcg (4,000 IU) of vitamin D a day, so talk to your GP or pharmacist before taking Ultra Lyte D3 + K2 Gummies daily, and don't add another vitamin D product.
What do vitamins D3 and K2 do?
Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption and use of calcium, the maintenance of normal bones and the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and to normal blood clotting.
Are the gummies vegan and sugar-free?
They're certified vegan, gelatin-free (set with pectin) and gluten-free, but not sugar-free: each gummy has 3 g sugar and 10 calories. They're also sweetened with maltitol and isomalt, which can have a laxative effect if you eat too many, and may contain traces of coconut.
Can I take them with a blood thinner?
Check with your GP or pharmacist first if you take warfarin or another vitamin K antagonist, because vitamin K affects how those medicines work. Ask first, too, if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.
