How much protein is in a serving of Protein 100?
21g of protein per portion, as printed on the jar. A portion is about one 30g scoop.
What kind of protein is in it?
A blend rather than a single source: the jar lists whey protein concentrate (WPC), casein and added amino acids. Whey digests quickly and casein more slowly, which is why Trec pitches Protein 100 as an everyday shake rather than a strictly post-gym one.
Does it contain sugar or sweeteners?
The jar is marked 'no added sugars', so the sweetness comes from sweeteners (UK retailer listings name sucralose and acesulfame K). It's made from milk proteins, so it isn't suitable if you have a milk allergy or eat vegan.
How do I make it, and when?
Mix about 30g with 200–300ml of water or milk and shake. Water keeps it lighter, milk makes it creamier and adds a little more protein; drink it after training or between meals.
What does the protein actually do?
Protein contributes to a growth in muscle mass, to the maintenance of muscle mass and to the maintenance of normal bones. A Protein 100 shake is a quick way to add 21g towards your daily total.
How many shakes are in each jar?
At about 30g a portion, the 700g jar makes roughly 23 shakes and the 2000g jar about 66. Flavours are Creamy Banana, Smooth Vanilla, Rich Chocolate and Strawberry Milk Shake, with the choice depending on jar size.
Protein 100 or Whey 100?
Trec Nutrition Whey 100, which we also stock in 900g and 2275g, is a whey-only shake. Protein 100 blends whey with casein and amino acids and is tuned for easy everyday drinking.
