Your questions, answered
How much protein is in each serving?
21g of protein per 30g serving (two scoops), with 111kcal, 1.1g carbohydrate, 1.1g sugars and 2.4g fat. Protein contributes to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass.
How many servings are in the 2kg tub?
About 66 servings of 30g. Trec's label allows up to three a day (90g), which would empty the tub in about 22 days; at one shake a day, Booster Whey Protein lasts over two months.
How should I make it up?
Shake 30g (two scoops) with 200ml of water or milk. On training days Trec suggests one shake on waking, one within 1.5 hours of your workout and one at bedtime; on rest days, have the middle one between meals instead.
Why does it contain MCT oil?
It's part of Trec's recipe: each 30g serving has 0.5g MCT oil alongside 27.4g of whey protein concentrate. That's a small amount, and MCT oil has no authorised health claims, so the protein is the reason to buy it.
Is it OK if I'm lactose intolerant or allergic to milk?
Not for a milk allergy: Booster Whey is whey protein concentrate made from milk, and concentrates usually still contain some lactose. It may also contain soya, gluten-containing cereals, eggs, peanuts and nuts.
Which flavours do you stock, and is there a smaller size?
Salted Caramel, Coconut, Creamy and Triple Chocolate in the 2kg tub, all sweetened with sucralose. Trec Booster Whey Protein 700g, which we also stock, is the cheaper way to try a flavour first.
Who shouldn't use it?
Trec's label says children and pregnant or breastfeeding women must not take it, and it isn't a substitute for a varied diet.
