What's in a serving of MgZB?
Three tablets give 375mg of magnesium as citrate (100% of the reference intake), 15mg of zinc as picolinate (150%) and 2mg of vitamin B6 (143%). That's the whole formula: no herbs or other extras.
When should I take it?
Three tablets once a day before going to sleep, as the OstroVit label directs. The 90 tablets give you 30 days.
What do magnesium, zinc and B6 do?
Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood. Vitamin B6 contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity.
Can I take MgZB with my other zinc or magnesium supplements?
Check the totals first. One serving of MgZB already gives 15mg of zinc, and the NHS says 25mg or less of supplemental zinc a day is unlikely to cause harm, so adding a separate high-dose zinc tablet would take you past that.
Who shouldn't take it?
OstroVit says MgZB shouldn't be used by children, pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers. It also shouldn't be taken by anyone allergic to any of its ingredients.
Is it vegan and allergen-free?
OstroVit lists MgZB as vegan, but the label says it may contain traces of milk, soy, peanuts, other nuts, gluten, eggs, crustaceans and fish from the production site.
MgZB or MgZB Ultra?
Both are OstroVit's magnesium, zinc and B6 night-time formula. MgZB Ultra comes as 120 tablets with its own per-serving amounts, while this standard MgZB is 90 tablets for 30 days, so compare the two labels if you want higher numbers.
