Your questions, answered
How many capsules a day, and how long does the tub last?
Two capsules a day with water, ideally with a meal, so the 90-capsule tub of Essensey Multivit for HER lasts 45 days. The label says not to take it on an empty stomach.
What's in a daily dose besides biotin?
Two capsules give 12 vitamins, most at 50% of the reference intake and vitamin C at 80mg (100%), plus 200mg type I collagen hydrolysate, 100mg green tea extract, 100mg CLA, 100mg L-carnitine, 10mg hyaluronic acid and 10mg coenzyme Q10.
What do the biotin and vitamin C do for hair and skin?
Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and normal skin, and each daily dose of Multivit for HER has 25µg, half the reference intake. The 80mg of vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin.
Why does the label mention green tea?
The daily dose contains 100mg of green tea extract providing 55mg EGCG, so the label says not to take it on the same day as other green tea products. It also sets a ceiling of under 800mg EGCG a day from all sources.
Can I take it if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
No — the label says it is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for anyone under 18. Ask your midwife or GP about a pregnancy-specific supplement instead.
Is it vegan, and what about allergens?
No — the collagen is animal-derived, even though the capsule shell is plant-based HPMC. The label says it may contain milk, soy, gluten-containing cereals, fish and peanuts.
How is it different from Multivit for HIM?
Essensey Multivit for HIM + Maca Root, which we also stock, is built around maca, while the HER formula adds biotin, collagen, hyaluronic acid and coenzyme Q10. Each is a complete daily dose for one adult, so don't take both.
