Two capsules give 1000mg of L-carnitine tartrate, of which 680mg is L-carnitine itself. Tartrate is the salt form Essensey uses, so the 680mg figure is the one to compare with other brands.
When should I take the capsules?
Two capsules a day with plenty of water, ideally 30 minutes before a meal or a workout, as the label suggests. Two capsules is the full daily amount, so don't take more.
How long does a tub of Essensey L-Carnitine last?
45 days: 90 capsules at two a day. Once opened, the label asks you to finish it within 3 months and keep it somewhere cool, dry and out of the light.
Will L-carnitine burn fat on its own?
No — L-carnitine has no authorised health claim in the UK, so we don't promise fat loss or extra energy from it. People take it alongside training and a planned diet, and those decide the result.
Is it a stimulant?
No — there's no caffeine or other stimulant in Essensey L-Carnitine, so it won't affect evening training or sleep the way a pre-workout can. If you want caffeine before a session, Essensey Caffeine 200mg is a separate product.
