How much boswellia is in a serving?
Two capsules give 1,000 mg of Boswellia serrata extract standardised to 60% boswellic acids, which is 600 mg of boswellic acids per daily portion.
How long does a tub last?
45 days. The tub holds 90 capsules and the daily portion is two, taken with plenty of water, preferably with a meal; don't take more than two a day.
What is Boswellia serrata?
It is Indian frankincense, a tree resin with a long history in Ayurvedic tradition. Boswellia has no authorised health claims in the UK, so we describe Essensey Boswellia Serrata by its dose and standardisation rather than promise results.
Who shouldn't take it?
The label says children and pregnant or breastfeeding women must not take it, and not to use it if you are allergic to any ingredient. If you take regular medication, check with your GP or pharmacist first.
Is it vegetarian, and what about allergens?
The capsule shell is hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, a plant-based material, but the label warns it may contain traces of milk, soya, cereals containing gluten, eggs, fish, peanuts and nuts.
