How to use it
Give the first dose 30 minutes to 1 hour before travel. Children 2 to under 6 years: 1/2 to 1 chewable tablet every 6-8 hours, no more than 3 tablets in 24 hours. Children 6 to under 12 years: 1 to 2 chewable tablets every 6-8 hours, no more than 6 tablets in 24 hours. Do not give to children under 2 unless directed by a doctor.

What's in each Dramamine for Kids tablet?
25mg of dimenhydrinate, an antiemetic, in a grape-flavoured, dye-free chewable tablet. The US label use is preventing and treating the nausea, dizziness and vomiting that come with motion sickness.
How much should I give my child?
Children aged 2 to under 6: ½ to 1 tablet every 6-8 hours, no more than 3 tablets in 24 hours. Children aged 6 to under 12: 1 to 2 tablets every 6-8 hours, no more than 6 in 24 hours. Don't give it to under-2s unless a doctor says so.
How long before the journey should they take it?
To prevent motion sickness, give the first dose 30 minutes to 1 hour before you set off. Further doses follow the 6-8 hour spacing for your child's age.
Will Dramamine make my child sleepy?
It can: the Dramamine label warns that marked drowsiness may occur. Sedatives and tranquillisers can increase the drowsiness, so ask a doctor or pharmacist before giving it to a child who takes them.
Which children should see a doctor first?
Ask a doctor before use if your child has a breathing problem such as chronic bronchitis, or glaucoma. Each tablet contains 0.38mg phenylalanine from aspartame, so it isn't suitable for children with phenylketonuria; it is lactose-free.
How many journeys will 8 tablets cover?
Eight single-tablet doses for a 6 to 11-year-old, or up to 16 half-tablet doses for a younger child. For adults travelling with them, we stock Dramamine Original Formula (36 tablets).
