How do pimple patches work?
Each COSRX Master Patch is a thin hydrocolloid disc that absorbs fluid from a spot and keeps it covered and moist. It's drug-free, so there's no salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide in it.
How many of each size do I get?
The 24 patches come in three sizes on one sheet, listed by retailers as 10 small, 5 medium and 9 large. Pick one slightly bigger than the spot so the edge seals on clear skin.
How do I get the best result?
Cleanse and dry the area completely, with no toner, serum or moisturiser underneath, then press the patch on firmly. Leave it overnight or until the centre turns white with absorbed fluid, then peel it off and use a fresh one if needed.
Which spots do they work best on?
Spots with a visible head, or ones that have already burst, where there's fluid for the hydrocolloid to absorb. Deep, sore lumps under the skin have little for a patch to draw out.
Can I wear them during the day?
Yes — the Original Fit patches are thin and fairly discreet, and covering a spot stops you touching or picking it. Apply make-up around the patch rather than over it, as products on top can lift the edges.
Can I use them with my acne treatment?
Yes, just not underneath the patch. Use your salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide product as usual, let the skin dry, then put the COSRX patch only on the spot.
Are they OK for sensitive skin?
The pack calls them non-drying and drug-free, so most skin tolerates them well. Skip them if plasters or adhesives irritate you, and stop if the skin around the patch turns red or itchy.
