How many drops do I give?
Babies under 12 months: 6 drops a day. Children aged 1 and over: 8 drops a day. Shake the bottle first, then give the drops straight from the dropper or stirred into your child's drink.
How much vitamin D is in a serving?
Eight drops give 500 IU (12.5mcg) of vitamin D3 as cholecalciferol, and the 6-drop baby serving gives about 375 IU (9.4mcg).
What does vitamin D do for children?
Vitamin D is needed for normal growth and development of bone in children, and contributes to the normal function of the immune system. ChildLife Vitamin D3 gives it as a small daily dose of berry-flavoured drops.
What else is in the bottle?
Organic vegetable glycerin, deionised water, natural berry flavours and vitamin E as an antioxidant. ChildLife Vitamin D3 is alcohol-free and contains vitamin D3 only — there's no vitamin K2 in this formula.
How long does the 30ml bottle last?
About 115 days at 8 drops a day, and around five months at the 6-drop baby serving.
Can I give it with a children's multivitamin?
Check the multivitamin's label first: if it also contains vitamin D, add the two amounts together and ask your pharmacist whether the total suits your child's age. Keep the bottle out of children's reach.
