How to use it
Adults & children 6 years and over: at the first sign of symptoms, dissolve 2 tablets under the tongue every 15 minutes for 1 hour, then 2 tablets every 6 hours, reducing frequency as symptoms improve. Children 4 to 6 years: dissolve 2 tablets in 1 tablespoon of water and follow the same schedule. Do not use for more than 2 days, or give to children under 4, unless directed by a doctor.

What is ThroatCalm used for?
According to Boiron's label, ThroatCalm temporarily relieves minor sore throat and hoarseness. Boiron states that these uses are based on traditional homeopathic practice, not accepted medical evidence.
How do I take the tablets?
At the first sign of symptoms, adults and children 6 and over dissolve 2 tablets under the tongue every 15 minutes for 1 hour, then 2 tablets every 6 hours, taking them less often as symptoms improve. The meltaway tablets need no water.
Can children use ThroatCalm?
Yes, from age 4: children aged 4 to 6 dissolve 2 tablets in a tablespoon of water and follow the same schedule. The label says not to give it to children under 4 unless a doctor advises it.
How long can I keep taking it?
No more than 2 days unless a doctor directs. See a doctor promptly if a sore throat is severe or persistent, or comes with a high fever, headache, nausea or vomiting.
What's in ThroatCalm, and is it lactose-free?
Nine homeopathic actives at 3C or 4C, including Arnica montana, Belladonna, Phytolacca decandra and Spongia tosta, at 0.28mg each per tablet. It isn't lactose-free: the inactive ingredients are croscarmellose sodium, lactose and magnesium stearate.
How many doses are in the pack?
Each dose is 2 tablets, so the 60-tablet pack holds 30 doses. A full first day (every 15 minutes for an hour, then every 6 hours) uses roughly 14 to 16 tablets.
Can I use it if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
Ask a health professional before use if you're pregnant or breastfeeding; that's the label's own instruction. ThroatCalm is unflavoured, and the box says it relieves pain without numbing.
