What is Boiron Hypericum perforatum 30C used for?
Boiron's label lists it for temporary relief of nerve pain associated with minor injury, such as radiating or shooting pain, pain in the legs and back, and toothache. Boiron states these uses are based on traditional homeopathic practice, not accepted medical evidence.
How do I take the pellets?
At the onset of symptoms, dissolve 5 pellets under the tongue 3 times a day until relieved, or as a doctor directs. The label directions cover adults and children.
How many doses are in the 3-tube pack?
Each tube holds about 80 pellets, so the pack has about 240, or 48 doses of five. At three doses a day, one tube lasts about five days.
Is this the same as St John's wort tablets?
No. Hypericum perforatum is St John's wort, but at 30C it has been diluted 1:100 thirty times, so this is a homeopathic medicine, not a herbal St John's wort supplement. Boiron's pack states no known drug interactions; if you take prescription medicines and are unsure, ask your pharmacist.
When should I see a doctor instead?
Stop and ask a doctor if symptoms last more than 3 days or get worse, if new symptoms appear, or if there's redness or swelling, as these could be signs of a serious condition. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a health professional before using Boiron Hypericum.
