What is each box in this bundle for?
Per Boiron's US labels, Camilia temporarily relieves teething symptoms such as painful gums and irritability, and Camilia Tummy temporarily relieves gas and colic symptoms such as tummy pain, bloating, fussiness and painful gas. Boiron states these uses are based on traditional homeopathic practice, not accepted medical evidence.
Is Camilia Tummy a teething remedy?
No — despite the shared name, Camilia Tummy is labelled for gas and colic, not teething. The bundle suits a baby who is teething and also windy or colicky; for night-time teething, Camilia Bedtime is a separate box we also stock.
How do I give a dose?
Snap one 1ml vial off the strip, twist the top off and, holding your baby upright, squeeze the whole dose into their mouth. Each vial is single-use, so give it straight away and throw it away.
How many doses can I give in a day?
From 1 month, each label says give one dose, wait 15 minutes and repeat if needed, up to 9 doses in 24 hours; Camilia Tummy's label adds that it works best before feeds. Neither label sets a combined limit, so ask a pharmacist before giving Camilia and Camilia Tummy on the same day.
What's in the vials?
Camilia contains Chamomilla 9C, Phytolacca decandra 5C and Rheum 5C; Camilia Tummy contains Carbo vegetabilis 6C, Chamomilla 15C, Colocynthis 9C and Cuprum metallicum 6C. Both are in purified water with a trace of alcohol, labelled 99.99% alcohol-free, and the Camilia Tummy box says dye-free.
When should I stop and call a doctor?
Stop and ask a doctor if symptoms last more than 3 days or get worse, and for Camilia also if swelling, fever or rash develops. Don't use either box if your baby is allergic to any ingredient.
How should I store the vials?
Keep unused vials in their foil pouch and use them within 3 months of opening it; don't refrigerate or freeze them. At the 9-a-day maximum, one box of 30 lasts just over 3 days.
