What are Camilia and Camilia Bedtime for?
Per Boiron's US labels, Camilia temporarily relieves teething symptoms such as painful gums, irritability and minor digestive upsets, and Camilia Bedtime does the same for night-time teething with restlessness. Boiron notes these claims are based on traditional homeopathic practice, not accepted medical evidence.
What's in the bundle?
One box of Camilia and one box of Camilia Bedtime, each with 30 single-use 1ml liquid doses, so 60 doses in all. The bundle costs about 10% less than buying the two boxes separately.
How do the two formulas differ?
Both contain Chamomilla 9C, Phytolacca decandra 5C and Rheum 5C; Camilia Bedtime adds Coffea cruda 15C, which its label lists for teething pain with restlessness. Classic Camilia can be given at any time of day, while the first Bedtime dose is given at bedtime.
From what age, and how do I give a dose?
Both are labelled for babies from 1 month. Snap off one vial, twist it open and, holding your baby upright, squeeze the whole 1ml into their mouth; there's nothing to rub on the gums.
How many doses can I give in a day?
Each label says give 1 dose, wait 15 minutes and repeat if needed, up to 9 doses in 24 hours. Neither label sets a combined limit for using Camilia and Camilia Bedtime on the same day, so ask a pharmacist how to space them.
When should I stop and call a doctor?
Stop and ask a doctor if symptoms last more than 3 days or get worse, or if swelling, fever or rash develops. Don't use either product if your baby is allergic to any of the ingredients.
How do I store the vials?
Keep unused vials in their foil pouch and use them within 3 months of opening it. Each vial is single-use: give it straight after opening and throw it away, and don't refrigerate or freeze the doses.
