How much shilajit resin do I take?
The 50g jar is labelled as 100 servings, so one serving is about 0.5g, roughly the size of a pea, measured with the spoon in the box. Dissolve it in warm (not boiling) water, tea or milk.
How long does a jar last?
A jar of Ultra Lyte Shilajit lasts around 100 days at one 0.5g serving a day, or longer if you start with a smaller amount and build up.
What is shilajit?
A dark, sticky mineral resin that seeps from high mountain rock and has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic tradition. Ultra Lyte's jar is labelled as pure Himalayan resin with over 85 trace minerals; shilajit has no authorised health claims in the UK.
Why is my resin rock-hard, or runny?
Shilajit resin changes with temperature: it goes hard and brittle when cold and soft and sticky when warm. Dip the spoon in hot water to scoop it, and keep the jar closed, away from heat and sunlight.
Resin or shilajit capsules?
Ultra Lyte Shilajit resin lets you adjust the amount and see exactly what you're taking, but it tastes strongly earthy. For a measured, taste-free dose, Trace Minerals Shilajit 1000mg - 150 Caps, which we also stock, is a standardised extract in capsules.
Is shilajit suitable for everyone?
