What's in each sachet?
5ml of liquid concentrate with 100mg magnesium, 245mg sodium, 295mg potassium, 825mg chloride and 55mg sulphate. The minerals come from Great Salt Lake in Utah, with potassium chloride and a little citric acid.
How much water do I mix a sachet with?
Tear it open and pour it into 250 to 500ml of water: 250ml gives a stronger, saltier drink and 500ml a milder one. Never drink the concentrate neat.
What does it taste like?
Unflavoured and noticeably mineral-salty, because there's no sugar or sweetener to cover it. The box suggests adding a squeeze of lemon or mixing it into a flavoured drink.
Is it OK for keto, fasting or vegans?
Yes. Ultra Lyte Hydration Packets have zero calories, no sugar and no sweeteners, and the sachet is marked suitable for keto, vegetarians and vegans.
What does the magnesium do?
At 100mg a sachet, magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance, normal muscle function and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. The sodium, potassium and chloride replace salts you lose in sweat.
