What's in a serving of Flexi Move?
Each 15g serving has 6,000mg marine collagen, 750mg MSM, 500mg glucosamine sulphate, 500mg L-proline, 150mg chondroitin sulphate and 20mg hyaluronic acid, plus 54mg omega-3, 60mg vitamin C, 120mg calcium and 56mg magnesium.
What do the vitamins and minerals contribute to?
The 60mg of vitamin C (75% of the reference intake) contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage and bones. Calcium and magnesium contribute to the maintenance of normal bones; the collagen, glucosamine and MSM have no authorised claims.
How do I take it?
Dissolve 15g (2.5 scoops) in 200ml of water once a day, preferably 30 minutes before a meal. The 300g jar holds 20 servings, so Flexi Move lasts 20 days.
Is it suitable for vegetarians or people with a fish allergy?
No — the collagen is marine collagen from fish, and the omega-3 is microencapsulated fish oil with gelatine. It may also contain milk, soya, cereals containing gluten and peanuts.
Why is there black pepper extract in it?
Each serving includes 2.1mg of black pepper extract standardised to 2mg piperine, a common addition to joint formulas. Like the collagen, it has no authorised health claim, so we simply list it.
Who shouldn't take it?
The label says children and pregnant or breastfeeding women must not take Flexi Move. If you have a diagnosed joint condition or take medication, ask your GP or pharmacist before adding it.
Flexi Move or Flex Guard?
They share much of the same recipe. Trec Flex Guard 375g has 7g of type I and II collagen and 25 servings; Flexi Move uses 6g of marine collagen, adds black pepper extract and comes in Vanilla-Strawberry.
