How much collagen is in the daily dose?
Four capsules give 4,000mg of SOLUGEL type I collagen hydrolysate, 200mg of hyaluronic acid (as sodium hyaluronate) and 160mg of vitamin C, 200% of the NRV.
How do I take Collagen Max?
Two capsules with 300ml of water, twice a day, ideally straight after a meal. At four capsules a day the 180-capsule tub lasts 45 days.
What does the vitamin C do?
Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage and skin. Collagen and hyaluronic acid themselves have no authorised health claims in the UK.
Is it suitable for vegetarians?
No. Collagen hydrolysate comes from animal sources, so Trec Collagen Max isn't vegetarian or vegan; the label doesn't say which animal.
Who shouldn't take it?
The label says children and pregnant or breastfeeding women shouldn't take it. It may contain milk, soya, gluten, fish and peanuts.
Capsules or Collagen Renover powder?
Collagen Max gives 4,000mg of collagen a day from four capsules, with nothing to mix. Trec Collagen Renover powder, which we also stock, gives 9,320mg per 10g daily serving, so it suits you better if you want a larger dose and don't mind a drink.
