What's in a daily serving of Collagen Marine?
Two scoops (6g) give 5,000mg hydrolysed fish collagen, 100mg hyaluronic acid, 82mg vitamin C, 5mg zinc, 450µg biotin, 25µg vitamin D and 25µg selenium. The 300g jar holds 50 servings.
How long does the 300g jar last?
50 days at one 6g serving a day, so about seven weeks rather than a month. Take it every day at a set time and one jar of Collagen Marine covers a seven-week routine.
How do I take it?
Stir 6g (two scoops) into 150ml of water once a day, preferably 30 minutes before a meal. The hydrolysed powder dissolves easily, and the Wildberry flavour is sweetened with sucralose.
What do the added vitamins and minerals do?
Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage and bones, biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, and selenium contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and nails. Collagen itself has no authorised claim, so those benefits come from the added nutrients.
Can I take it if I avoid fish or I'm pregnant?
No on both counts: the powder is 83% hydrolysed fish collagen, and the label says not to use it during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or give it to children. It may also contain traces of milk, soya, cereals containing gluten and peanuts.
My powder has gone lumpy - is it still OK?
Yes, Trec's label explains that caking can happen because the ingredients absorb moisture, and it doesn't affect quality. Keep the lid tightly closed, store the jar somewhere cool and dry, and use it within 3 months of opening.
Collagen Marine or Trec Collagen Renover?
