What's in Herbal Energy?
Two capsules give 800 mg guarana extract (22% caffeine, so 176 mg caffeine), 100 mg Korean ginseng extract (10% ginsenosides) and 100 mg American ginseng extract (5% ginsenosides). The daily portion on the label is four capsules.
Is a herbal formula gentler than a caffeine pill?
No. Guarana is a caffeine source, and the full four-capsule portion of Trec Herbal Energy delivers 352 mg caffeine. Count it alongside coffee, tea and energy drinks; EFSA regards up to 400 mg a day as the safe limit for healthy adults.
What does the caffeine do?
Caffeine helps to increase alertness and to improve concentration, and each two-capsule serving provides 176 mg of it from guarana.
How should I take it, and how long does the tub last?
Take two capsules per serving, up to four capsules a day. That gives 45 servings per 90-capsule tub, or about 22 days at the full daily portion. Have your last dose well before the evening.
Who shouldn't take it?
Because of the high caffeine content, it isn't for children or pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you are sensitive to caffeine or take regular medication, speak to your GP or pharmacist first. The capsules are gelatine, so they aren't vegetarian.
