How to use

How much magnesium is in a serving?
400mg per 4ml (80 drops), which is 107% of the UK reference intake. At the full serving the 118ml bottle of Ionic Magnesium gives about 29 days, and longer while you're still building up.
Is this the same as Mega-Mag?
The panels match: Trace Minerals Low Sodium Mega-Mag, which we also stock, lists the same 400mg magnesium, 1,100mg chloride and 5mg sodium per 4ml from ConcenTrace. Ionic Magnesium is the name on Trace's newer blue 'trace' label.
Should I start on the full 80 drops?
No — Trace's chart starts at 20 drops a day in week 1, then 30 in week 2 and 40 in week 3. From week 4 add 5 drops a day as tolerated, up to a maximum of 80 drops (0.8 tsp).
What does magnesium contribute to?
Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function, normal psychological function, electrolyte balance and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Ionic Magnesium also gives 1.5mg boron and 70mg sulphate per 4ml from the same seawater concentrate.
How do I make it taste better?
Mix the drops into juice, a smoothie or food rather than plain water, because concentrated magnesium chloride is very salty and bitter. Store the bottle at room temperature; the label says not to refrigerate it.
What if it upsets my stomach?
The label warns that a high intake of magnesium may have a laxative effect. Go back to the last number of drops that suited you and split them into two or three smaller doses.
118ml or the 59ml bottle?
